A sticker does not establish item status
Begin a Souvenir check with the complete name and description of the individual item. Gold-colored elements in an image do not establish that status by themselves. Be particularly careful with forwarded screenshots: an attractive close-up may omit the underlying weapon, exterior and provenance information. Obtain the normal listing and inspection first, then examine the additional decoration and description. Keep image evidence distinct from item identity.
Verify provenance through the description
When a listing includes a story about an event or particular match, compare that story with the item's own information. Do not infer history from one logo or assume every Souvenir originated in the same way. Rules and available decoration methods can change; confirmed information about the candidate is what matters. Avoid expanding a short description into an invented tournament story merely because a design resembles a familiar event.
Compare two decorated examples
Two items may share weapon, finish and exterior label while differing in visible elements and description. Make a separate list of each item's stickers, then review placement and readability. Decide which combination supports your goal: a restrained playing item, a particular decoration or a set with documented details. Sharing a base finish does not make decorated specimens interchangeable for that purpose. Record which difference actually changes your preference.
Request the necessary evidence
| Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Complete name | Confirm the variant |
| Full description | Check claimed provenance |
| Overall inspection | See the complete item |
| Close-ups | Review applied elements |
| Exterior and float | Assess the surface separately |
If only a sticker is shown, request the remaining evidence. Mark missing details as unknown rather than automatically special. Read the sticker placement guide for visual checks. Start design discovery in the finder without assigning one provenance story to every result.
