What happened
Saving a trade link records an intended recipient. Checking asks whether the service can currently verify that address. A withdrawal request is a separate operation with its own availability and history. None of these steps should be substituted for another. Understanding the distinction prevents a saved field, a positive check, or an inventory card from being mistaken for a completed Steam delivery.
What to check
Save the complete current address in the private account settings. If you edit it, confirm persistence before checking. Use the verification control and read whether the result is valid, invalid, or unavailable. An unavailable checker has not established validity. Only consider an actual delivery when the feature is enabled and you understand the selected item and recipient; do not press a delivery button just to test a slow checker.
Worked example
For example, the link saves successfully while the checker lacks its Steam connection. The stored setting is real, but there is no positive live result. In a different case, the checker succeeds while withdrawals are paused. That success answers the recipient question, not the service-availability question. Combining both messages into a general statement that everything works would conceal the remaining blocker.
Result and next step
A useful profile summary can state separately what is saved, what the latest verification found, and whether any delivery request exists. Report the specific failed step and public message. CASECS2 withdrawals are currently paused: preparing a recipient does not create a request or move the skin. Read how CASECS2 works, English guides, and Steam trading guidance. The signed-in profile navigation is the place to manage private recipient settings.
